Former President Donald Trump’s attorneys in Georgia have reportedly hired a private investigator who claims to have found evidence of extensive calls and texts between Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her special counsel, Nathan Wade. The investigator alleges that over 2,000 voice calls and nearly 12,000 text messages were exchanged over an 11-month period in 2021, raising questions about the timing of their romantic relationship.

Trump’s attorneys, Steve Sadow and Jennifer Little, submitted an affidavit from the private investigator, Charles Mittelstadt, as part of an ongoing case. Willis and Wade have faced accusations of engaging in a secretive and improper relationship, with suggestions that Willis benefited financially from public funds.

Willis and Wade, during their testimony, acknowledged a romantic relationship but insisted it began after Wade was hired in the Trump case, denying any financial impropriety. Mittelstadt’s report, based on CellHawk geo-mapping and analysis, suggests frequent communication between the two before the claimed start of their romantic involvement in 2022.

The affidavit also alleges that Wade made numerous visits to a condo where Willis lived, even late at night and early in the morning, before their alleged relationship began. Willis has strongly denied any conflict of interest and accused defense attorneys of attempting to smear her.

The investigator’s report has been submitted for consideration as evidence in the case, and it will be up to Fulton Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee to decide on its admissibility. The controversy adds another layer to the legal proceedings involving Trump in Georgia.
