According to PBS, in response to U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan’s ruling that Donald Trump does not have immunity from prosecution in the election interference case against him, the former president issued a statement on Truth Social, a social media platform associated with him. Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the decision, characterizing it as an example of what he termed “Radical Left ideology” posing a threat to the presidency.

The judge’s ruling means that Trump is not exempt from potential prosecution in the case, which revolves around allegations of him plotting to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Trump’s legal team is expected to appeal the decision, setting the stage for a legal battle that could reach the U.S. Supreme Court.

In his response on Truth Social, Trump warned about the perceived threat posed by what he labeled as “Radical Left ideology” to the presidency. Additionally, he suggested that this ruling could have implications for President Joe Biden, asserting that it opens the door for Biden to be held personally liable for what Trump referred to as his “Open Border Policy” and other perceived mistakes and decisions detrimental to the nation.

This statement reflects Trump’s ongoing engagement with legal matters and his use of digital platforms to communicate directly with his supporters and the public. It also underscores the heightened political tensions surrounding legal proceedings involving former presidents and their potential criminal liability.
