Former President Donald Trump is fired up and ready to let go of some of his top campaign advisors as Kamala Harris rises in the polls, according to reports via The Sun.
It has been noted that the former president is reportedly ready to make some cuts as Harris enjoys a honeymoon period during the first month of her campaign. Trump’s reported meltdown has been driven by his slide in the polls following Harris’ recent increase in popularity.
“I think that he feels this election slipping away from him, and that’s where you’re beginning to see him spiral,” Sarah Matthews, a former Trump spokesperson told MSNBC.
Matthews referenced a false claim Trump made that accused the Harris campaign of using images generated by artificial intelligence to exaggerate rally crowds. Republicans and key donors are concerned about Trump’s campaign strategy.
His continuous personal attacks against Harris, as well as his failure to focus on core policies such as the border, the economy, and crime, have reportedly worried those close to Trump.
Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, who are two of Trump’s top campaign staffers, are reportedly in the firing line, former communications director Anthony Scaramucci speculated on his podcast.
Speaking on The Rest is Politics podcast, Scaramucci speculated that Trump regrets his choice of vice president.
“He picked Vance – he knows Vance was a terrible, terrible pick,” he said.
“He’s lighting people up inside his campaign right now about picking Vance.”
When things start going wrong, Trump starts firing people, Scaramucci has claimed.
