It seems that while the world is in holiday spirit, former President Donald Trump‘s Truth Social account this Christmas is not lit up. The former president raged against his treatment by the Biden administration — and predicted that he would be the victim of “illegal election interference.”
The 77-year-old told his followers on Monday morning that “2024 will go down as the year of great and fully coordinated illegal election interference by Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt president in the history of the United States, the DOJ, FBI, A.G.’s, & D.A.’s [sic], throughout the country[.]”
Trump then turned hopeful, writing: “But despite it all, in the end, there will be a big and glorious victory for those brave and valiant patriots who want to make America great again. Merry Christmas to all!!!”
It has been noted that the 45th president has long claimed without evidence that the 2020 election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him, getting himself into legal trouble in the process.
A plethora of polls show him edging out Biden in the national popular vote with a little over 10 months to go before Election Day. Both Trump and Biden are the odds-on favorites to be their party’s standard-bearers and reprise their 2020 contest. In a follow-up post Monday morning, Trump explained the difficulties of celebrating the holiday in light of the 91 criminal counts pending against him in four separate cases.
