Florida’s first lady hit back at attacks against her during a sit-down with conservative commentator Dana Loesch, and specifically addressed those making fun of her wigs while she was going through breast cancer treatment.
Her husband, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, finds his 2024 presidential campaign floundering, many Republicans still see Casey, a mother-of-three and breast cancer survivor, as the shining star of the operation.
But that too comes with attacks from the opposing political party as well as from die-hard Trump supporters who want to see him as the Republican presidential nominee.
”How do you navigate that, especially in this political environment, and just [this] media age?” Loesch asked Casey DeSantis during their interview set to air Tuesday afternoon.
DeSantis, once a news anchor, said she had to ‘hold my breath’ when the conservative media personality was listing some of the insults that have been thrown at her over the last few years when her husband become governor and later launched a presidential bid
”They’ve also called me Walmart Melania,” DeSantis noted. ”Which, by the way… being in the same sentence with Melania? I consider that a major victory. So check that box.”
