Newsmax host Greg Kelly, during an interview with former President Donald Trump on Thursday night, raised alarming allegations, suggesting that prominent Democrats are trying to facilitate Trump’s death. This came on the same day that Trump’s Manhattan criminal trial, where he pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts related to hush money payments, adjourned for the day.
During the interview, Kelly mentioned a proposal introduced by Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), which would remove Secret Service protection from convicted felons. Kelly told Trump
“He wants to put you in prison without Secret Service,” Kelly told Trump. “I don’t know if you’ve reacted to it yet, but he’s got a proposal that would terminate Secret Service. Now, I don’t think you’re going to jail. But let’s face it, theoretically, it could happen. He wants to deprive you of your Secret Service if you go to prison. These Democrats want you dead – you realize that?”
Trump responded, “Yeah,” adding that he was the one responsible for turning the country around, citing his achievements in the economy, border security, and energy prices, along with global respect during his presidency.
Kelly’s comments followed similar remarks made by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who also claimed that Democrats want Trump to die in jail and are seeking to remove his Secret Service protection to make it possible. Greene’s statements suggested that Democrats were extremely serious about ensuring Trump’s imprisonment and subsequent vulnerability.
