Two stars advance to Fatal-4-Way for Cruiserweight Championship at Royal Rumble

At WWE’s Royal Rumble event, Buddy Murphy will defend his Cruiserweight Championship in a Fatal-4-Way match. Last week, during 205 Live’s 2018 recap show, Drake Maverick revealed that six men would earn the chance to be a part of that match over the next two weeks.

Tonight, two of the three matches took place. First, Kalisto faced off against Lio Rush. With a little help from the Lucha House Party and Lio Rush’s arrogance, Kalisto was able to advance after hitting the Salida del Sol.

In the main event, Akira Tozawa and Drew Gulak continued their longstanding rivalry. Tozawa came in with a lot of momentum after he and The Brian Kendrick defeated Gulak and Jack Gallagher in 205 Live’s final match of 2018. Tozawa continued his dominance over the Submission Specialist, defeating Gulak after connecting with the Senton Splash.

Next week, the final spot will be filled, when Cedric Alexander takes on Hideo Itami.
