Din Thomas, the coach of the former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley recently reflected on the shocking outcome in the match against Youtuber-turned-pro-boxer Jake paul. Woodley has been accused of diving in his rematch with Jake Paul. Paul registered yet another win to his record, 5-0 at Showtime pay-per-view on Saturday, December 18 at AMALIE Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Woodley was on the receiving end of a wicked right hand thrown by the YouTube sensation in the sixth round of eight-round rematch as it shocked the fans. Woodley’s mother Deborah Woodley aka ‘Mama Woodley’ also recently expressed her anger after being asked a question regarding the fight. Many proceeded to claim that ‘The Chosen One’ was paid to take a dive.
Tyron Woodley’s coach disproved the claims
Woodley’s coach absolutely slammed accusations and claimed ‘T-Wood’ was determined to avenge his previous loss to Jake Paul in the rematch. He also joked about the dive allegations, claiming he’d be away partying instead of cornering Woodley had he known the fight was fixed:
Speaking to MMA on SiriusXM, Thomas said:
“That whole theory, it makes me laugh because being in his camp, I know how serious it was. It was serious like Tyron really wanted this win back. He really wanted this fight. It was a serious thing. Now, if it was a dive, I wish they told me about it because I wouldn’t have showed up and took the night off. I’d be like partying but that wasn’t the case. I mean it was a real, legit fight.”

It is to be noted that Michael Bisping also recently claimed that he was offered a fight against YouTuber-turned-pro-boxer Jake Paul. Paul now has taken his professional boxing record to a 5-0. He now holds two wins over Tyron Woodley, who’s 0-2 as a professional boxer. Having beaten him in their rematch, Paul subsequently called out MMA fighters Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, Kamaru Usman, and Conor McGregor.
