Tyron Woodley ‘Unable To Fight’ For Sad Reason

The former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley suffered a shocking loss against YouTuber-turned-pro-boxer Jake Paul recently at Showtime pay-per-view on Saturday, December 18. Woodley was on the receiving end of a wicked right hand thrown by YouTuber-turner-boxer Jake Paul in the sixth round of Saturday’s eight-round rematch. Woodley’s mother Deborah Woodley aka ‘Mama Woodley’ recently expressed her anger after being asked a question regarding the fight.

 


 

Tyron Woodley has received a medical suspension

The punch resulted in multiple losses for Woodley. He lost consciousness, the bout itself, and the chance to win a $500,000 knockout bonus. After the fight, it was deemed Woodley also has lost the ability to fight for the next two months. MMA Junkie reported that they were told by Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation deputy communications director Patrick Fargason on Monday that Woodley has been suspended 60 days by his department, which oversaw the event.

Jake Paul, he has now taken his professional boxing record to a 5-0. He now holds two wins over Tyron Woodley, who’s 0-2 as a professional boxer. Having beaten him in their rematch, Paul subsequently called out MMA fighters Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, Kamaru Usman, and Conor McGregor.

Miriam Gutierrez, who was on the wrong end of a unanimous decision following a battle with Amanda Serrano, also was suspended. However, her suspension was deemed indefinite due to the damage taken over all 10 rounds. Aside from Woodley and Gutierrez, none of the other 12 fighters on the card – including former NBA player Deron Williams and former NFL running back Frank Gore who partook in a wild exhibition bout – received a suspension.
