Tyson Fury Going To UFC To Fight Top Star?

John Fury, who is the father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury believes that his son will eventually step foot in the world of mixed martial arts. Fury was in action back in February 2020, when he dropped and retained the WBC title Deontay Wilder to capture the belt. He set to take on Wilder in a trilogy fight on October 9th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

 


 

John Fury opens up on Tyson Fury vs Darren Till

John Fury believes his son, with the right training, would do well in MMA. He suggested UFC star Darren Till to be his first opponent in MMA. Oscar de la Hoya Drug Overdose News Stuns Fans

He said:

“With the right training, he’d do very well. I’ve seen him excel in different sports like wrestling, so I’ve got kind of an idea what Tyson was from that. I know he can use more than his hands,” John Fury told JOE. He’s quick, light on his feet and I do believe, if a top MMA trainer took him on, he could do big things with him – ask Darren Till.”

‘The Gypsy King’ trained with Till back in November 2019, with Till urging Fury to try MMA. In the last few years, Fury has teased the possibility of jumping ship to MMA to challenge the UFC heavyweight champion. His father sees wants Fury  in MMA after he retires from the sport of boxing:

“The rougher it gets with Tyson, the better he likes it. When he does finally retire from boxing, he’ll probably go to that [referring to MMA] and come back to boxing, but he will engage on that you’ll see,” John Fury said.
