A top UFC fighter revealed this drug claim ahead of UFC 264.

It has been reported and confirmed by ESPN combat sports insider Marc Raimondi via Twitter that UFC 264’s opening contest between Yu Haozong and Alen Amedovski is now off. The reason being listed is due to protocols related to COVID-19 within the camp of Amedovski. Most likely this means that someone close to Amedovski has tested positive for the coronavirus.

“The #UFC264 bout between Yu Haozong and Alen Amedovski is canceled due to COVID-19 protocols in Amedovski’s camp, UFC officials told ESPN. The card will go on with 12 fights.”, Raimondi stated on Twitter

Although Amdovski has a successful 8-2 mixed martial arts record he has not competed in several years and has yet to win in the UFC. losing his debut in the octagon to Cyril Asker. UFC 264 will be marching forward with twelve total fights including the highly-hyped and anticipated contest between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. The main card starts at 10 PM EST.
