Former UFC Lightweight champion Dustin Poirier recently fought Michael Chandler in UFC 281. Ahead of the fight ‘The Diamond’ had a surprise visit from boxing legend ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson. Poirier recently shared his thoughts on the memorable meeting with Tyson.

Poirier revealed in the latest interview that he had the honor of meeting Tyson and was starstruck at that moment. However, he confessed to another incident. ‘The Diamond’ had a hilarious take about meeting the boxing legend for the first time. Dustin Poirier confessed:
“I just had my most starstruck moment two weeks ago while meeting Tyson for the first time. Funny thing is, I went on to bite someone later that night.”
Poirier recently revealed that he has been in the hospital for two days due to staph infection. Poirier took to his social media to update fans on the health problem he has been dealing with. He posted disturbing photos of an infection in his foot and showed a stay in the hospital on his Instagram story.
Dustin Poirier is certainly a top contender in the UFC lightweight division and he has found himself in poor health of late. He is coming off of his UFC 281 win over Michael Chandler. Poirier has been circling the UFC lightweight division top five for a while now. He put himself in a great position with his last win in New York City but now this infection could derail his momentum.
