UFC ‘Replacing’ Max Holloway With Surprising Name?

After Max Holloway suffered a recent injury, his bout against Yair Rodriguez might very well need to be rescheduled. Or will it? Although the fight, which was originally set to take place at UFC on ESPN 26 next month has been reported to be rescheduled for a future date, one UFC fighter is willing to take Holloway’s place. Is this top UFC star about to leave for a new company?

Taking to social media via Twitter, UFC featherweight Giga Chikadze chimed in by stating: “Let me save the show, don’t be scared homie.’

In an interview with ESPN last month, Yair Rodriguez discussed the possibility of facing Zabit Magomedsharipov and addressed allegations and rumors that he is afraid to fight Zabit. Credit to MMANews for the following quotes.

“It’s been over three years that it’s been the same story over and over and over and over again,” Rodriguez began. “It’s just hard to believe that some people will think that of professional athletes in general, that they think they’re ducking somebody. For what reason?

“Why would somebody duck anybody else? Who do you think he is or who does he think he is in order for me to duck him? Is he a kind of god or what? No, man, we are all competing here in the same weight class. It doesn’t matter, bro.”
