UFC’s Biggest Name Calls WWE Fake After Merger

In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Dana White expressed his confidence in the new merger between UFC and WWE under the umbrella of Endeavor. White, who has been the President of the UFC since 2001 and has played a significant role in the company’s growth, believes that the merger will bring new fans to both promotions.

White believes that the power of the fan bases of both WWE and UFC, combined with his own ability to create viral content, will enable the new venture, including ‘Power Slap,’ to reach out to audiences in multiple ways. With more resources available to them now, White is excited about the possibilities that this merger brings, saying that WWE is just a phone call away, and the companies can work together to ensure that everyone wins.

Despite the merger, many pro wrestling fans are left wondering how this will impact on-screen content, including whether UFC fighters or different match types and rules may be introduced in WWE. However, White does not see much potential for cross-over, citing the fundamental difference between the two organizations. White emphasized that WWE is a scripted show, while the UFC is “as real as it gets.”

“So you have the power of the fanbase of the WWE, you have the power of the fanbase of the UFC, and you got my power of the … viral ability and whatever that fanbase is going to be for ‘Power Slap,’ and we can reach all these people in so many different ways,” White said. “There’s a lot more resources now. WWE has a lot more resources. It’s a phone call away now . All we got to do is pick up the phone and say, ‘Hey, how did this happen? … or how did you do this?’ You all work together to make sure that everybody wins. We’ve been together on the same weekend many times, you know? And, you come out of a UFC event and you’ve got ‘Monday Night Raw.’ But who knows, you know? These are all things that could be figured out on the business side.”

While there are still some unknowns regarding the new partnership, White remains optimistic about its potential for growth and is confident that the merger will be beneficial to both companies. The possibilities are endless, and with WWE’s resources now at their fingertips, White and the UFC are excited to explore the opportunities that lie ahead.
