Undertaker Breaks Silence On Controversial WWE Rumor

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker recently reacted to the reports emerging that WWE RAW might switch back to TV-14 rating which had thrilled the fans. It is believed that RAW could be possibly moving to edgier content. WWE briefly listed their upcoming premium live event on Peacock, SummerSlam, as TV-14 before reverting it to TV-PG. ‘The Phenom’ reckons it is a good idea.

The Undertaker supports the possible move

WWE has been a TV-PG program since 2008. Taker had been a part of the Attitude Era and also has a taste of the PG-Era. The “Deadman” was a part of WWE & Mattel’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend and was asked about the possibility of WWE programming returning to a TV-14 rating. He is certainly in favor of the shift and he believes that WWE would be able to pull off the move in quite a manner.

“I think it’s a good move,” Taker began, “with their main demographic being 18-34-year-old males.” The WWE Hall of Famer believes that “the way that WWE will do it, it’ll mean much more” and that it won’t mean someone backstage saying, “‘ok, we’re gonna use a cuss word because it’s gonna get a cheap pop,’” a philosophy that Taker described with an “eh, ok, whatever.”

“WWE is smart,” Undertaker continued, believing it could be “a chance to touch that Attitude Era.” Even though the Attitude Era “was out of control,” Undertaker described it as “such great, great TV.”

“We are finally starting to get a talent roster now that’s getting seasoned,” Taker said, sitting alongside current superstars Cody Rhodes & Zelina Vega. Undertaker believes the talent knows “how to use those kinds of tools that come with TV-14.”

We will now have to wait and see how WWE manages to bring change in their content.
