Undertaker ‘Career Ending’ Surgeries Revealed

The Undertaker remains one of the most popular pro wrestlers of all time.  He ended his career at the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view last year, bringing an end to his legacy. His last match was against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in a Boneyard Match, which received a lot of critical praise and also praises from fans and WWE Superstars alike. The Undertaker also go to the hospital for surgery.

The Undertaker recently spoke an episode of Kevin Hart’s show “Cold as Balls” where he revealed how many surgeries he had over the years.

“In my mind, I wanted to do it. In my heart, I still wanted to do it, but I realized my body couldn’t do what it used to do. It’s real enough to cause 17 surgeries. You know, what people don’t realize is that in the course of a match, you are only a couple of inches away in any given time from suffering really catastrophic. That two inches is a really great night or a really, really bad night.”

The Phenom faced off against Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 23 in 2007. The Undertaker previously spoke on WWE’s the Bump, where he revealed that Batista had a chip on his shoulder prior to the match.

“We really did have a good match. Batista had a chip on his shoulder. He wanted to go out and steal the show. He was the champion going into that match and he felt slighted that we weren’t in the main event. He was so motivated to go out there and steal the show. It was a lot of fun. I think that was one of his better matches and not just because of me but because of the motivation that he had. He was so in-tune and I remember coming back through the curtain after it was all over and he came back. I remember him yelling out in Gorilla, ‘Follow that!’ And I was thinking to myself, that’s cool, but you know, Shawn’s still got to work.”
