Undertaker ‘Final’ WWE Title Match Rumor Leaks

Could The Undertaker be making one last run (again) in WWE around WrestleMania? Undertaker wasn’t the happiest with some matches in his final years. It appears there was a big match being discussed before he retired last June. Drew McIntyre has reportedly been ‘pulled’ from main eventing WrestleMania.

On the recent episode of ‘The Nitty Gritty Dirt Show’, Vince Russo had his usual guest on, Billi Bhatti. Vince and Billi discussed a multitude of all things pro-wrestling including The Undertaker. Let’s dive deep into this.

To preface, previous to the following statements, Billi was talking about the plans WWE had for Drew McIntyre. Drew was supposed to have a “rocket strapped to his ass” and run through all of the big names including Brock Lesnar to become the biggest in the business.

Billi Bhatti: “…From then on Drew was supposed to beat The Undertaker at Survivor Series with the tag underneath it ‘Undertaker 30’ and what ‘Undertaker 30’ was supposed to be was Undertaker’s 30th year in WWE as his anniversary and going for the championship and challenging Drew with Undertaker losing.”

It makes sense that Undertaker was used heavily for his 30th anniversary show, and one more match would have also been an interesting decision. Undertaker had a big name ‘replacement’ at a WWE PPV.
