The Undertaker and WrestleMania go hand in hand. The WWE icon has had an iconic streak at the pay-per-view. He has already received his ‘Final Farewell’ in 2020 and decided to call it a day. It seems that he could be back for one last match at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’. ‘The Phenom’ could face none other than his former WrestleMania opponent AJ Styles. Previously it was noted that Alexa Bliss returned in video with Undertaker.
The Undertaker could face AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38
Billi Bhatti on The Dirty Sheets podcast, noted that it is that time of the year when the fans eagerly want The Phenom to be involved in a match at WrestleMania. It seems WWE has also reached out to him to headline Hall of Famer this year.
“So they would like him to headline Hall of Fame and wrestle his last match. I feel the best thing to do would be for him to go back in there with AJ.”
It was on Night 1 of WrestleMania 36, that ‘The Deadman’ had defeated AJ Styles in a historic, first-ever Boneyard Match, and in doing so, ‘The Phenom’ also brought back his iconic biker persona. While speaking to TV Guide interview the pro-wrestling veteran had opened up facing ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles.
The idea of a dream match against AJ Styles was quite enticing and that is what lured the veteran to work a cinematic match with him:
“At that point, I was pretty content. I’d already kind of come to grips with the fact that my days, especially with WrestleMania, it was time to move on. And then, the match with A.J. presents itself. We’ve both been in the business for a while and our paths had never crossed. That’s very unusual to never have a match with [someone of that stature] and I hold him in very high regard as an in-ring performer and as a human being.”
We will have to see if that match takes place at WrestleMania 38 which will take place over two nights- April 2 and 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
