Undertaker joined Brock Lesnar, John Cena, John Cena’s wife, and Pat McAfee at Vince McMahon’s birthday party at New York’s Waverly Inn restaurant, PWInsider.com reports. McMahon was spotted with a rumored new girlfriend.
One name we know wasn’t there is Ryback. Ryback’s relationship with WWE is certainly a rocky one. Ever since he left the company, Ryback has made sure to take shots at the company at every opportunity, especially at Vince McMahon and Triple H. He also had a heated spat with WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry earlier last year.
Former WWE Superstar CM Punk has not been seen on WWE television since the 2014 edition of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. He walked out of the company the next day and has not looked back since then. Following his WWE exit, many fans have been wanting to see Punk make his return to the company every year. He has yet to make his return to the squared circle and at this point, it seems very unlikely. A WWE Superstar was also previously punished for ripping off CM Punk.
CM Punk has been in talks with AEW for quite a while as indicated by reports and it all came true as The Second City Saint made his return to pro wrestling on AEW Rampage: The First Dance back in August last year.
Speaking on the Oh…You Didn’t Know podcast, Road Dogg said:
“So, I don’t know what it was, to tell you the truth. Look, I think there was a lot of politics going on then, and I’m not going to lie to you, I think CM Punk had something to do with it. Look, if I could just beat up on CM Punk on this whole episode, that’s probably what I should do, and that’s what I’m doing! But no, there was a lot of politics going around him, around then.”
