The Undertaker booked for Starrcast II during AEW Double or Nothing weekend

Undertaker-Greatest Royal Rumble

It was reported last week that The Undertaker would begin taking non-WWE bookings soon. Now, it seems that the Deadman has taken an interesting booking opportunity, joining All Elite Wrestling for Starrcast II.

Sports Illustrated broke the news earlier today that Mark Calaway, billed as The Undertaker, had officially come to terms on a deal to make an appearance at the event on May 25th. Conrad Thompson assured SI that Starrcast wasn’t solely an AEW event, and this didn’t mean that the Phenom would make any appearances for AEW in the future.

I know people might assume this is an AEW event, but that’s not true. We have wrestlers appearing from every promotion from all over the world, and Starrcast isn’t just for All Elite Wrestling fans, it’s for all fans.

The Undertaker is synonymous with wrestling and generations of wrestling fans have grown up with The Undertaker. We wanted to bring something unique to Las Vegas ,and there isn’t anyone more special in this business than him.

Thompson went on to say that his appearance would be a standalone experience.

You’re the only stupid fuuck that bans people you fuucking hypocrite. You are an intolerant piece of shiit.

  • Keith Learmonth

Did you watch All In? It was straight up an Undertaker parody, even up to and including the fact that Joey was “returning from the dead”, going from the BTE stuff.

The dude even sold shirts after the event with slogans like “rest in p*nis” on them.

  • Killswitch

You know what? I’m not even going to delete this. It’s too foolish.

P.S. I’m not the only mod here, angry boy.

  • Soulshroude

A bunch of people dressed as condoms does not make a deadman parody. John Cena did it with his parody of Eminem. It’s nothing new… Joey Ryan didn’t steal sh*t.

  • KillSwitchTheBiitch

Undertaker is the worst wrestler ever. I have decided what you may think. All comments must be like my tolerant one is. Now thank me for not banning you, for I am KillswitchTheBiitch!

  • Nicholas Giambattista

That what got people turn off from TNA. We want something different not the same old stuff.

  • Keith Learmonth

I’m just saying, it’s the kind of sh*t they’d pull. They literally ripped off ‘Taker’s whole thing at All In for Joey Ryan… I wouldn’t put it past them to do it again.

I’d like to make it clear it is not what I want. I do not want to see it in any way. I’d personally prefer them to avoid cheap stunts like this entirely, whether for Joey’s pecker, or for Ambrose, or for anyone else.

They should focus on building their own brand, not cheap stunts using established WWE stuff to get the internet talking.

  • Greg Bush

What are you talking about? I didn’t say he had departed from the WWE. Never said he joined up with AEW, just that he has agreed to make an appearance at Starrcast II, which is true. What’s the issue here?

  • Nicholas Giambattista

I have a funny feeling they going to give Undertaker 1 last WWE title run before he retires next year. It will be just like when Brock Lesnar been Unverlasial Champion.

  • Soulshroude

The Taker tease turns into Joey Ryan? Really? This coming from you? I should have expected as much…

  • Soulshroude

To clear things up a bit. He isn’t a AEW advocate unless he (MARK) states this as such. This is the RUMOR MILL ROLLING. There are no signs of his departure as of yet, from the WWE. IT was REPORTED earlier that Mark would be taking bookings upon his own person as the $25,000… value. But he (MARK) never stated where those bookings were to take place. Nor has he stated if he had any offers as of YET.

Put the rumor mill to rest. Bush, you’re reaching far beyond your grasp and as for this article of yours, put the W-E on a very, very nit picky situation, as all respect is presumably lost with your article placed here.

The assumptions, speculations, rumor mill bullsh*t needs to come to an end. Suppositions, are just and simply that. Don’t give us (your audience) this unadulterated bullsh*t. We’re sick and damned tired of it.

IF Mark wants the world to know what his business is, he’ll claim his yard and tell us. Period.

CHANGE THE TITLE OF THIS ARTICLE as UNCONFIRMED and pure speculation!!! Greg Bush lacks as much class as George W. and Sr.. PERIOD.

“””Conrad Thompson assured SI that Starrcast wasn’t solely an AEW event, and this didn’t mean that the Phenom would make any appearances for AEW in the future.”” This is UNCONFIRMED! PERIOD.

  • Soulshroude

False… aside from the WWE, he’s getting $25,000. per booking session aside from his obligatory WWE rounds. The gigs are per person. As were stated earlier.

  • Keith Learmonth

But I’d heard that WWE was deathly afraid of anything AEW, and wasn’t letting any of their talents even remotely near it!!!!1!

  • Keith Learmonth

Let’s be honest, if All In is anything to go by, they’ll do the ‘Taker tease, and have it be Joey Ryan and his phallic phalanx again.

  • Keith Learmonth

WWE gives him more than that. They’ve got him on a contract for $2 million per year, last I heard, which, given that he only worked a handful of matches last year, with a combined total screen time of maybe 2-3 hours, he’s getting something like a million an hour from WWE. Of course, in return, they are allowed to make money off his image, and they definitely do.

$25,000 an hour is for non-WWE bookings.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

It not like the Undertaker can wrestle for more then an hour anymore.

  • Brandon

And is anybody worth 25k an hour?..

  • Nicholas Giambattista

Lies he getting $25,000 an hour for WWE booking.

  • StoneColdBeckyLynch

At Double or Nothing during Omega vs Jericho. During the end of the match, ref takes bump. Lights go out.
Lights go on. Hooded figure wearing all black trench coat and top hat is in the ring.
