As seen on AEW’s Fyter Fest event, Shawn Spears interfered in the match between Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin. Rhodes and Allin took each other to their limits until the time limit was up and the match was declared to be a draw.
However, soon after this, Spears ran down to the ring with a chair and his intentions were clearly not good. Spears hit Cody in the head with an unprotected chair shot that took him out almost instantly.
Rhodes was busted open due to this chair shot and his wife Brandi Rhodes, MJF and other officials immediately came around to check on him.

Luckily Rhodes was able to walk out on his own two legs and that relieved a lot of fans who were very concerned about this controversial incident.
