Update on Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen, Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair

A few months back it was reported that WWE is planning a horsewomen vs. horsewomen match for the upcoming Survivor Series PPV and a WrestleMania 34 match between Charlotte and Ronda Rousey has been rumored for a while as well.

During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided some update on both these bouts, saying that currently there is no word on if the company is still planning to do the Survivor Series bout.

He noted that both Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir continue to be praised for their work. However while Ronda Rousey has adopted things quickly and Shayna Baszler could also pull off a big match like this, the feeling is that at this point it would be asking a lot from Duke and Shafir to compete at such a high level.

It wouldn’t make sense for Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to team up due to their ongoing storyline either but anything can happen in WWE so it’s not completely impossible.

Overall, while Meltzer doesn’t provide a verdict on the situation, the possibility of this match taking place at Survivor Series this year is starting to look less likely.

As far as the Charlotte vs. Ronda Rousey match goes, Dave noted that this match is not as locked in as everybody thinks, but is definitely in talks for the event.
