Update on recent firings of WWE co-presidents

The recent firing of WWE co-presidents Michelle Wilson and George Barrios has been a matter of discussion among wrestling fans and people have been wondering about the reason behind it.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently talked about these departures and revealed some details behind the firing of these WWE Officials.

According to the Wrestling journalist, the two officials were said to be against the idea of stockpiling talents that weren’t being used and the money the company was spending on it:

“Within the company it was said that they were against the idea of signing up talent that wasn’t being used and the much higher talent expenses to keep anyone and everyone from leaving.”

Meltzer also noted that the belief within the company is that Mr McMahon doesn’t want a repeat of WCW by letting talents jump ship and that’s why so much money is being offered to stars to stick around without actually being used.

If that is true, they have a point. WWE has people like MJ Jenkins under contract. I’m not saying she’s not talented, but at this point in her career, she’s not going to move the needle and if WWE wants her or people like her later on when they become big on a national stage, WWE has the money to sign away anyone they want.

Not correct. He signs people for NXT and has to keep signing new talent to replace the ones that Vince takes to waste on the main roster. HHH also signs people to NXT who go to the performance centre and are let go later when it does not work out.
HHH is not specifically signing new talent to be wasted, that is Vince on the main roster to blame.
I am sure that HHH would rather keep many of his signings on NXT for the long haul.

The only issue I have with this report is that HHH is in charge of signing people and has been the one pushing to sign as many indie talents as possible. So he has to get some of the blame for this as well.
