It was reported earlier that Shinsuke Nakamura suffered an injury before SmackDown LIVE tonight. At tonight’s show, the King of Strong Style was scheduled to face Jeff Hardy for the US Title. However, plans changed after Nakamura got injured and Hardy had to compete in a tag match alongside the Usos against Sanity.
PWinsider is reporting that Nakamura’s injury was something absolutely unexpected and bizarre. Apparently, Nakamura was bitten by a security dog present in the arena at a live event yesterday. The dog was brought in as a part of a pre-show security check and while sniffing around, ended up biting Nakamura in the leg.
Nakamura was backstage at SmackDown LIVE but still hasn’t recovered from the wound.
