— As the wrestling-edge.com spoiler report confirms, contrary to earlier news that Rey Mysterio was in his gear and ready to work the taping, Mysterio did not wrestle at Sunday’s WWE SmackDown! show. The seeds were, however, planted for Mysterio’s on-air return as an announcement was made confirming a Batista vs. Mysterio street fight for the 12/11 edition of the show.
It remains unclear if this indicates Mysterio made the call to delay getting knee surgery or if the street fight will produce a second storyline justification for him to embark on a hiatus.
