This week’s episode of SmackDown saw the return of the Hardy Boyz and it surprised a lot of people as Matt Hardy had recently revealed that there are only a few days left in his current contract.
Now Pwinsider has provided an update on the situation which reveals the reason why the company was confident enough to bring the brothers back on WWE TV.
According to the site, the Hardys’ originally signed a two years contract with the company which had an option to extend it the deal to another year if WWE wanted it.
And the officials reportedly chose to invoke this clause which sees the Hardys getting a significant pay raise to stay with the promotion for 12 more months.
With this report, it’s confirmed that the Hardy Boyz will be staying with the company for the foreseeable future and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the company has some big WrestleMania plans for them.
