– In the latest edition of Superstar to Superstar on WWE.com, Mickie James talks to Nancy O’Dell about her ALS charity, Betty’s Battle (in honor of her late mother). The Access Hollywood host will also take part in many of this weekend’s SummerSlam festivities in Los Angeles, including SummerSlam Axxess where she will conduct an interview with John Cena.

– Devin sent the following: WWE is running a house show at the Lucas County Arena in Toledo, Ohio on October 11th, 2009. Tickets go on sale August 29th, 2009 at 10 AM. It will be one of the first events of any kind to be held at the new arena.

– As announced Friday afternoon on WWE.com, Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore was released from his WWE contract. According to several sources, the feeling is that he showed up at last week’s RAW taping looking terribly out of shape and Vince McMahon made the decision right then and there to cut him loose. He had just been hired back about a month ago.

Reportedly, the WWE creative team wanted to get Eugene on television very quickly, so the fact that he was released after his first appearance adds further credence to the theory given.
