Velveteen Dream was alleged to have sent indecent pictures to a minor last week. That certainly did not look good for the NXT Superstar. The claims included him sending an audio clip as well. However, it seems WWE is focused on him despite the recent allegations.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Velveteen Dream’s status in the company following those allegations. It seems they did not change the company’s plans for him. He still remains the #1 contender for Adam Cole’s NXT Title.
While he did not make an appearance on this week’s NXT, he is scheduled to square off against Adam Cole for the title on next week’s show. The show has been recorded in advance, but fans will only get to see the match next week.
Dream denied all the allegations against him. While he did admit it was a photo of him, he said it was stolen and sent without his knowledge and consent. He said that a third party is currently investigating the matter. We will have to see what ultimately becomes of Dream and how he will fare in next week’s match.
