Velveteen Dream was absent from WWE television for a while. He was also surrounded in controversy after being called out during the #SpeakingOut movement for sending obscene pictures to minors. There were reports that suggested he was going to be fired from the company.
However, it seems he has finally made his return. During this week’s NXT, KUSHIDA and Cameron Grimes were scheduled to face a mystery opponent in a triple threat match. The winner would receive a spot in the NXT North American Title ladder match at NXT TakeOver: XXX.
This was certainly a surprise return as many did not expect him to return so early. However, he was unable to win the match as Cameron Grimes was victorious.
We will have to see what the company has planned for Dream now that he is back.
