Velveteen Dream shares a weirdly amazing relationship with the Hulkster and has made it clear since the past few NXT TakeOvers. Dream paid a tribute to Hogan back at NXT TakeOver: Chicago earlier this year when he came out in the colours of the American Hero Hulk Hogan.
This time around, at NXT TakeOver: War Games, the Dream donned the colours of Hollywood Hulk Hogan instead. Dream came out in a nWo inspired t-shirt and Hollywood Hogan’s attire including the “Hollywood” headband.
Dream even did some signature gestures that belong to Hogan throughout the match and even teased a running leg drop during his match. However, Dream eventually hit several running leg drops on NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa to a huge pop.
