Velveteen Dream turned quite a few heads in 2017 with his feud with Aleister Black. However, after their blowoff at NXT Takeover: WarGames, Dream would disappear from NXT for a few months. Dream would return on the January 10 episode of NXT to start a feud with Kassius Ohno, who he would defeat at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia.
Since then, we haven’t seen much of the Velveteen Dream, but he would go on a bit of a tirade on Twitter, lashing out at the increase of independent stars in the developmental territory.
At first, it was unknown on the drive behind this tweet, and some wondered if the Vainglorious One was going off script. However, it appears this isn’t the case, as WWE has responded to his rant in a way that confirms this to be his new storyline going forward.
Don't get on @VelveteenWWE's bad side… https://t.co/rIyQjxzeRj

NXT’s roster is full of stars from various independent promotions, so it’s difficult to see who the Dream will be targeting next.
