Vince McMahon ‘Allowing’ WWE Stars In AEW?

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon recently executed mass release of stars over the last couple of months.

 


 

The stars usually have the 90-day non-compete clauses meaning which implies that thestars cannot work for any other televised company during the mentioned time. WWE ‘Remove’ Major Hell in a Cell Match?

They also continue getting paid for those three months. However, it turns out some stars have turned down the deal.

As per the reports of Fightful Select, “multiple 2021 WWE releases” have asked if they can forego their 90-day non-compete clauses. Thereby, this would allow them to sign for other company within this period.

“Multiple 2021 WWE releases have asked WWE if they can forego their non-compete clauses, anywhere ranging from the entire duration, down to just a few days before their scheduled non-competes.”

It was previously reported that WWE was have been “receptive to this” and Johnny Ace would have to be contacted for the same.

It is to be noted that recent debutant on AEW, Andrade had joined Tony Khan’s company within 90-days of his WWE release as he did not have non-compete clause, and some stars could follow his footsteps to join AEW.

There is no confirmation about WWE allowing the request and we will see what future holds for those stars.
