Vince McMahon ‘Bans’ Surprise AEW Debuts

Vince McMahon and WWE have been on a firing streak today releasing various names from Bo Dallas to Billie Kay. While some people would like to see recently released superstars like Samoa Joe make their way to All Elite Wrestling, any potential move won’t be for some time as noted wrestling journalist and editor of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer took to social media via Twitter to deliver some heartbreaking news to professional wrestling fans – that the recent WWE crop of releases can’t go anywhere until the Summer. Meltzer tweeted: “Everyone WWE released today can’t sign anywhere until July 14”. Michael Cole recently told Vince McMahon to hire his ‘replacement’

One name that people anticipated to be released due to inactivity within WWE was Aleister Black. However, that is looking like it won’t be the case as it is being reported by PWInsider that WWE is filming vignettes to hype up the re-debut of Black. Although it’s not clear when the vignettes will air on WWE programming, it is indicated that it will be quite soon and that they will focus on the childhood of Black. Aleister Black has not been on WWE programming since losing to former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in a No Disqualification match on October 12th, 2020.
