Vince McMahon Brings Back Star Months After Firing

Eddie Dennis, a former NXT UK wrestler, has made his way back to WWE, but not in the capacity that he was once known for. This Welshman was one of the many wrestlers released when WWE decided to shut down its NXT UK brand in August of 2022. However, despite his departure, Dennis has managed to make a comeback to the company.

In March of 2023, Dennis announced his retirement from in-ring competition. It was a bittersweet moment for many fans who had followed his career throughout the years. Yet, despite the end of his wrestling career, he has managed to return to WWE in a new and exciting capacity. According to WWE’s LinkedIn page, Dennis has been rehired as a writer/producer for NXT. This news was announced through the company’s Q1 2023 corporate hires list, which included Dennis and his new role.

Dennis had a successful run in NXT UK, having taken part in various feuds with Mark Andrews and Trent Seven. Additionally, he was part of the NXT UK commentary team before transitioning to a backstage role. His departure from the company left many wondering if they would ever see him again in a WWE capacity, but it seems that the wait is finally over.

Dennis’ last match was in the RevPro Revolution Rumble on March 26, where he unfortunately did not emerge victorious, with Michael Oku being crowned the winner. Despite this, Dennis’ experience in the ring is sure to come in handy as he transitions to a producer role. His expertise and knowledge of the wrestling industry could be invaluable to the company as they continue to evolve and grow.

It remains to be seen what creative contributions Dennis will bring to NXT, but it’s exciting to see yet another experienced wrestler-turned-producer join the company’s team. His return to WWE in this new capacity is a testament to his skill and dedication, and it’s clear that he will continue to make a positive impact on the wrestling world.
