Roman Reigns did not work WrestleMania 36 due to COVID-19 risks and he has been staying at home since then. This did not sit well with Vince McMahon.
McMahon ordered people not to mention Reigns on WWE television. They also edited him out of the classic WrestleMania 31 spot on this week’s RAW.
According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon changes his opinion regarding Roman Reigns on a daily basis. While Reigns has appeared in various video packages and digital media, he was removed from WWE’s Make-A-Wish video.
We’re told the reaction by Vince McMahon regarding Reigns and how to handle the situation “changes daily based on which way the wind is blowing,” which is why one day they show him beating HHH on Smackdown, then they edited him off Raw, then they do a Make-a-Wish thing and have no clips of him, then they do an investment conference and Vince McMahon never says his name, and then they have a one hour special on him on FS 1.
Reigns will not be returning until the COVID-19 outbreak subsides and the world returns to normal, which might be over a year if not longer. The landscape of WWE will likely be very different once he is back.
