WWE Chairman Vince McMahon decided to make some changes to the script for last night’s edition of Monday Night Raw. The script of the edition was not actually the originally planned one.
Why did Vince McMahon made changes?
Dave Meltzer recently noted that Vince tore up the script several times before the show and the show was being rewritten just a couple of hours before it went on the air. This is something which has been happening often.
WrestlingNews.co reported that the original plan for Raw did not include the bout between Bobby Lashley and Kofi Kingston.
The finish to the match saw Lashley getting pinned for the three count after Drew McIntyre caused a distraction. It was further noted that the idea to have Lashley lose was decided an hour prior to the show.
Ringside News aslo reported that there was some changes made on Sunday’s WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view as well.
The original plan for the WWE Championship match which saw Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre was to headline the show. Vince McMahon ‘Ruins’ WWE Raw Star Push
But the plans got altered as changed his mind. He decided to close the show with the WWE Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Cesaro.
Meltzer noted that the entire order of the matches for WrestleMania Backlash were changed several times on the day of the show.
