The YouTuber-turned-pro-boxer Logan Paul has been recently involved in WWE. Last year, he was featured on WrestleMania 37 with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. This time around, he is set to make his in-ring debut at the upcoming WrestleMania 38. He recently expressed his desire to achieve a backstage role in Vince McMahon’s company.
Logan Paul wants to get more involved with WWE
While speaking to Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, Logan talked about his relationship with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. He lavished praise on Vince and stated that he would love to have a behind the scene role in the company down the road. He considers himself to be an ‘innovator.’ Here is what he said:
“Vince is like a step-dad to me. Does that make sense? He’s like the guy you have a good relationship with, a firm handshake, ‘how are you doing? I respect you, I’m glad to have you here and it’s just a positive relationship,” Paul said. “He’s welcomed me with open arms and he’s been excited every time I go out there and perform and yeah, it’s been positive. He’s awesome. If I continue my involvement in WWE, hopefully, I can bring stuff to the table that switches it up. I’m an innovator and I’m always here to pitch ideas and at the end of the day, I’m creative. If I can get more involved in the behind-the-scenes stuff with Vince’s approval, that would be fun.”
During the same interview, the YouTube sensation also went on to state that he will not be ruling out a probability of working full-time with WWE. Paul is set to team up with The Miz to take on the father-son duo of Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38 which will take place on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3 from AT& T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
