Mickie James took to Twitter and revealed the entire ordeal as it sparked a lot of controversy on social media. WWE Superstar Lana also sent a bold message to Mickie James previously

This week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown featured a huge announcement as it was revealed that Impact Knockouts Champion Mickie James will be taking part in the Women’s Royal Rumble match this year. WWE also acknowledged she is the Impact Knockouts Champion, in a move that most definitely shocked fans all over the world as it marked the first time WWE acknowledged a title from the promotion, also formerly known as TNA.

According to Ringside News, it was confirmed that WWE working with Impact Wrestling is not a way for them to take a shot at AEW. It was also said that “we need 30 women for the Rumble. Mickie left on bad terms with the whole Carrano thing. So when Laurinaitis reached out for her to be in the Rumble, she told him she’s under contract to Impact. That’s not an issue anymore.” It was further added that,  “Vince doesn’t care” and he even “okayed mentioning Impact [on-air] as part of the deal.” At this point there are “no borders.” AEW and Impact Wrestling recently had a partnership with a talent exchange, but it has now ended.
