Vince McMahon Gets Rid Of Top Names Before SmackDown

Vince is back in the business, and on his first day on the job he has made some changes. While these changes are reported for SmackDown, one would have to see if they all come together on television or not.

While not much is available in the news yet, we know that Vince McMahon is back in the WWE and is ready to make changes in the company he built to this level.

The actions, communicated to WWE’s Board of Directors today via written consent, include the election to the Board of Mr. McMahon, as well as Michelle Wilson and George Barrios – former WWE Co-Presidents and Board members, and currently the Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of Isos Capital Management – and the requisite removal from the Board of three directors. Mr. McMahon expects to assume the role of Executive Chairman of the Board.

While it’s promised that his return wouldn’t change things, it looks like Vince is already turning heads because of his work and his approach.

There’s no official word on the changes except that Vince would be the final decision maker for all media deals in the company. Every decision pertaining to it will run through him before going out in the public.

Vince McMahon, the founder and controlling shareholder of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. (‘WWE’ or the ‘Company’) (NYSE: WWE), announced today that he has taken necessary actions to position the Company to capitalize on a unique opportunity to maximize long-term value for all WWE shareholders.

SmackDown is the same show before which he announced his retirement in August 2022 and on the 6th of January in 2023 he makes his return.

What do you think will happen with Vince’s return? Sound off in the comments.
