Goldberg made an appearance during the season premiere of Friday Night Smackdown last week. He did not compete in any match but was observing Roman Reigns defending his WWE Universal Title against Braun Strowman.
Several reports suggested that the FOX Network wanted big stars for the season premiere. Goldberg was brought in simply because of his star power and there are no plans for him to wrestle anytime soon.
According to a report by Inside The Ropes, despite what everyone thinks, Vince McMahon is still interested in Goldberg.
We’re also told “Vince McMahon couldn’t care less what anyone thinks about him using Goldberg” and the head honcho still believes there is value in the Goldberg name.
Goldberg is still contracted to compete in a few more matches for the next two years.
