Vince McMahon & Nick Khan Firing Meetings Leak

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and President Nick Khan have been conducting a release spree recently. They have shockingly released stars like Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, and Ric Flair. Now, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that WWE’s current firing process is that Vince is the one who picks about the stars who will be fired, while Nick Khan determines how much budget will be cut. He said:

“People put the blame on Nick Khan, and it’s a joke. It’s Vince, it’s always Vince. Nick Khan is not making decisions on who they cut. He may make decisions on budget cuts, but not who they cut.“

Vince McMahon refrain NXT stars from joining elsewhere

WWE handed releases to several stars on the NXT brand and fans have been furious. It includes Bronson Reed, Bobby Fish, Leon Ruff, Tyler Rust, Jake Atlas, Mercedes Martinez, Asher Hale, Giant Zanjeer, Zechariah Smith, Kona Reeves, Ari Sterling, and Desmond Troy.

Each of the recently released WWE NXT Superstars will likely join a new company.

Fightful Select confirmed that those recent NXT releases will only have a 30-day non-compete clause associated with their firings. It is possible that a couple of them are under different arrangements, but 30 days is the typical wait for all released NXT talent.

“For those asking, the majority of the twelve WWE NXT releases have non-compete clauses that run 30 days in duration, making them available in early September. We can’t confirm this is the case across the board, and are working on getting more information on an individual basis.”

WWE main roster talent must wait 90 days for their non-compete clauses to expire. We will see what is next for the stars who got released.
