Black’s release came upon as a surprise as they were expecting a exciting feud between him and Big E but it had to be stopped abruptly, given Black’s release.

Ringside News reported that the decision was already made by Vince to remove Aleister Black previously. McMahon didn’t want to follow-up on that storyline because he knew Black was being released. Stephanie McMahon Crazy ‘Inheritance’ Rumor Leaks
They also reported that Vince has not decided yet with whom Big E would be involved in a feud next. That is the reason why the New Day member was off television last week.
