Vince McMahon Reacts To Matt Riddle ‘Botch’

Everyone was talking about Matt Riddle’s hilarious yet awkward ‘botch’ moment on this week’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw where he seemingly forgot his lines in a segment with ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ and WWE Raw Women’s Champion, Asuka. In an update to that story, it seems like in addition to the term ‘worked shoot’, we can now add ‘worked botch’ to the vocabulary of the sports entertainment landscape. It is being reported by Ringside News and Steve Carrier that Riddle’s flub was actually part of the show. This WWE star reacts to ‘racism’ after Matt Riddle match.

“Everyone had a laugh at Riddle last night during #WWERAW when he forgot his lines and rode off screen on his scooter. That was apparently the plan. It’s really confusing why WWE wanted to make it seem like their show was falling apart during that segment, but it must be Monday..”

Ringside News then doubled down on the idea of – had this been truly unplanned, Vince McMahon would of been livid over the occurrence. Instead, WWE had no problems promoting Riddle afterward, and having him appear as a guest on the highly-popular and successful WWE Monday Night RAW after-show program called ‘RAW Talk’. In addition, the flub simply just fit the character of the ditzy United States Champion.
