Vince McMahon shares his thoughts Mick Foley

Mick Foley has portrayed several gimmicks over the years his career in WWE. Vince was asked asked what he first thought of Cactus Jack gimmick prior to Mick Foley coming to WWE.

He said:

“I thought it was kind of degrading to our product. I thought he didn’t have any talent. I thought it was déclassé.”

However, Foley did not take much time to impress Vince as he would admit that Mick Foley is charming and had an ability to connect with an audience which very few could do.

He said:

“Mick always had that connection with the audience and I never really saw before he came here. I thought, ‘Boy, We’re never going to hire that guy,’ but he did. He had that connection and very few people have that.”

There has been many talks that veteran commentator Jim Ross played a major role in convincing Vince to sign Mick Foley.

Vince found the idea to be a waste but he was proved wrong by Foley. The Hardcore Leegnd went on to become one of the top stars of the company and he has created some iconic hardcore moments in WWE which are talked about till date.
