Vince McMahon owns both WWE and XFL, but the two companies have no other ties to each other.
During WWE’s 2019 fourth-quarter conference, Vince McMahon reiterated that XFL is being kept completely separate from WWE. He then mentioned XFL currently has 400 employees.
“No, the XFL is a separate entity completely. It’s completely separate.”
WWE was sued by a stockholder regarding this issue and the lawsuit is currently ongoing. Hopefully, what McMahon saying is the truth and they are not using WWE money for XFL.
XFL will be starting their relaunch this weekend. It will be interesting to see how they fare.
