WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry decided to part ways with the company and recently joined All Elite Wrestling(AEW) over the summer. Henry made his surprising debut at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view, where he announced that he would be working on the broadcast team for the then-new show AEW Rampage. Henry recently talked about the discussion he had with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon when he informed his former boss about his intentions to become All Elite. The talk took place on the latest edition of the Busted Open Radio podcast.
Vince McMahon wants to sign Mark Henry in three years
Henry told McMahon he was sick of waiting for new opportunities in the company. He revealed Vince said that he would come looking for ‘The World’s Strongest Man’ in three years:
“I was like, ‘Vince, I’m tired of waiting, I’m gonna take this job. I want to get experience, and I want to prove to you and everybody else that I can do this.’ And he said, ‘You know what, Mark, I believe you will, and I’m sure we’ll come looking for you in three years.’”
