Paul Wight reveals how Vince McMahon would tell the talents to shut up

Paul Wight had the experience of working under his boss, Vince McMahon for more than two decades. He discussed how Vince McMahon has approach of a perfectionist and how he pushes everyone around him to maintain the same high standard of quality.

He further revealed how the WWE Chairman would tell someone to keep shut when he would not buy an opinion.

He said:

“Again, you’re working for a guy [Vince McMahon] who’s a perfectionist who holds himself to a higher standard and holds everyone else around him to that standard. It can be hard to work under those situations, because even if you have, you know my favorite line with Vince is, ‘I’ll take it under advisement’ which means ‘shut the f*ck up I don’t want to hear you anymore,’ you know what I mean?!”

Vince McMahon takes all the decisions in WWE and does not listen to his talents unlike Tony Khan in AEW, who has been praised on multiple occasions for hearing out his stars.

Wight said that whenever Vince would say the phrase- “I’ll take it under advisement”, it would mean that he would not consider the idea and the former World Champion has experienced it in the past.

Paul Wight said:

I’ve been there like and then ‘I’ll take it under advisement’ and I’m like, ‘well, that’s the end of that.’ You know? Period. That’s the end of that. This is what we’re gonna do I’m gonna get knocked out by the mechanical bull, here we go.”

Paul Wight gave WWE credit for helping him grow as a performer but things would have been different if Vince would hear out his talents and Wight could possibly won’t have to make the decision to leave WWE.
