Vince McMahon Will Offer Top AEW Star Contract

Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), he has been heavily teasing a potential jump to WWE upon his contract expiry in AEW. He recently joined “Barstool Rasslin’s” podcast to talk about if he would want to wrestle the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns if he ever goes to WWE. It is no secret that MJF’s contract with AEW is set to expire in 2024 and the three-time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner had previously made it clear that he’s open to jump ship, provided WWE rolls out more money than AEW President Tony Khan could possibly match.

WWE could offer huge deal for MJF

During a recent PWTorch VIP audio show, Wade Keller touched upon WWE’s interest in the AEW star, with WWE seemingly willing to offer MFJ a significant financial package should he decide to make the switch:

“One source in WWE told me that MJF is seen as such a commodity that his recent and tractable behaviour on and off-air with AEW wouldn’t deter Vince McMahon from making him a lucrative offer. Although a falling out with AEW could take away considerable leverage for MJF, MJF’s value to WWE would remain high. They need people. He’s young, he’s good, and he’d be paid accordingly, regardless of his reputation in AEW. Now maybe that changes a little bit with the headache that Vince McMahon feels Sasha Banks and Naomi put him through, but maybe not. But his reputation, in general, might take a blow if details about his latest interactions with Khan and AEW reflect poorly on his professionalism.”

MJF liked a tweet related to Vince McMahon still wanting to sign him.

There have been concerns regarding MJF as fans were speculating whether he would work Double or Nothing to face Wardlow. ‘The Salt of The Earth’ suffered a crushing defeat against Wardlow after series of powerbombs.
