Former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis gained notoriety for his purported involvement in the hush money settlement incident involving Vince McMahon. That was when everything fell apart because WWE fired him. His attorney now asserts that he is a victim, citing his inclusion in Vince McMahon’s trafficking lawsuit.
As previously reported, Janel Grant, a former employee of WWE, has accused Vince McMahon of sexual trafficking and other misbehavior. Grant claims in her lawsuit that McMahon directed her to have sex with stars, other WWE employees, and anonymous officials by sharing intimate footage of her with them without getting her permission.
John Laurinaitis was also named in the lawsuit, where it was alleged he also had sex with Janel Grant. According to VICE News, John Laurinaitis’ attorney Edward Brennan claimed that his client is a victim like Janel Grant.
“Mr. Laurinaitis denies the allegations in the misguided complaint and will be vigorously defending these charges in Court, not the media. Like the Plaintiff, Mr. Laurinaitis is a victim in this case, not a predator. The truth will come out.”
In response to a follow-up question seeking clarification that he was asserting Vince McMahon as the predator and Laurinaitis, like Grant, as a victim, Brennan stated, “Read the allegations. Read the Federal Statute. Power, control, employment supervisory capacity, dictatorial sexual demands with repercussions if not met. Count how many times in the complaint Vince exerts control over both of them.”
