Vince Russo recently in touch with WWE about a possible return

As an ex-WWF, WCW, TNA and Rocky Mountain Pro guy, it’s no secret Vince Russo is looking to get back into the wrestling business.

In a recent interview with, Russo revealed that he had reached out to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon in an effort to offer his services.

“I’ve reached out to Vince McMahon in the past week,” said Russo, before stating that he wouldn’t elaborate too much. “He got back to me.”

The outspoken Russo who often criticizes the WWE product mentioned that their exchange was brief.

“I am still a wrestling fan at heart, going back to when I was 10, 11 years old. I hate today’s product. To me, it’s not professional wrestling,” Russo said. “I don’t want to be the guy critiquing the problem without saying ‘Here’s my olive branch, I think I can help you as the numbers go down every week.’ I didn’t use the word help. You don’t tell Vince McMahon he needs help. I said ‘if you want me to contribute, I’d love to once again contribute.'”

When quizzed on whether McMahon would be open to the idea of him returning, Russo indicated McMahon never gives much away when speaking to him.

“Vince never seems receptive. His response is always a couple of words. He’s not that guy. He’s the same guy that told me I could get a nanny (to raise) your kids,” said Russo.

As long as Vince (McMahon) was there to curb his creative enthusiasm he did fine. Vince Russo is a lot like Dennis Rodman.

As long as he had Alpha Males like Isiah Thomas, David Robinson, or Michael Jordan around he was fine, Once he got away from that structure is where the horse got out of the barn.

It will never happen as long as HHH is there he will never be back with the WWE. HHH the guy who have brought a lot of guys back will never bring back Vince Russo. Beside Vince Russo has been cancer any other wrestling federation he gone to since leaving the WWE and never taken any responsibility.

Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoffs’ egos killed WCW. Vince Russo was given very little creative control during his tenure in TNA. The creative team consisted of JJ, Russo, and Dutch Mantell, with Jeff having the final say on what airs on television. Speaking of Jeff and Dutch… I dunno if you’re watching TNA’s product currently, but Dirty Dutch and Double-J are back in control and it’s an absolute trainwreck. Even with Vince Russo being nowhere to be seen.

The guys reputation from back in the day was built on lies. As part of a committee he had success, but when he left WWE for WCW and got more creative control it all went pear shaped (which really calls into question how much input he had in WWE).
Since then he has tried living on past glories and repeated the same mistakes in TNA for instance.
He might hate the current product, but he is certainly no cure.

After being involved in the Monday Night Wars and being around during the Attitude Era, I just don’t see him being very happy in the WWE, with the way it is right now. I see him having edgy, fun ideas, and then them being shot down due to the PG rating. But if he can contribute his wacky, edgy ideas from back in the day, and Vince actually decides to use some of it, I’m all for him coming back.

At this point he could be what RAW needs. As long as someone is there to keep him from going overboard, his creativity is certainly better than what they have going right now………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..bro.
